PROCESS ENGINEERING

As an Engineer based in the El Paso, TX manufacturing site, my priority was to manage production processes for the remanufacturing of satellite receivers. This included optimizing processes to increase production efficiencies as well as improving ergonomics for the associates on the floor. As part on the efforts for the manufacturing and distribution sites to become ISO certified, I played a significant role in writing Sequence of Events documents across multiple departments. This required that I travel 50% of the time for 5 months to the Denver warehouses to lead and collaborate with employees as we defined and improved existing process.

After a year of working with the company, I was selected as 1 of 5 engineers to lead a high impact project to facilitate the transition of the business into the 5G Wireless industry. My responsibilities included developing brand new manufacturing processes for 5G cabinet production, creating new warehouse blueprints, taking into account the flow of material upon receipt and all the way to shipping, and launching manual inventory management systems for 30+ distribution centers across all of the US.

IT BUSINESS ANALYST

In 2021, I transitioned into a Business Operations Analyst II role within the IT department at DISH. This role expanded my opportunities and further growth within the company by allowing me to participate in the development and launch of software designed to improve production processes.

Utilizing my knowledge of Agile methodology and computer programming, I led the definition of program requirements and process flow documentation. Additionally, as the overall manufacturing and distribution business evolved to implement warehouse management systems, I contributed in the development lifecycle of SCALE WMS and NEXSYS-ONE programs at multiple stages.

DISH SERVICE AWARD

In the year 2020, I was selected as 1 of 100 individuals across all of the company to be awarded the Dish Service Award. This was an incredible achievement that validated all of the hard work I put into contributing to the growth of the business as it transitioned into the 5G Wireless industry.

Additional Recognition:

I was chosen as one of the winners of an internal innovation contest called “Love the Problem” in which employees were asked to present ideas for the future of product and services at DISH. A limited number of ideas were chosen to be further explored, developed, and potentially launched!
